If I want to send a bunch of photos to friends, I can share a folder on iCloud instead of uploading them here. Why did this app get an Apple Design award?

You too tinkered and killed this app. See you all on National Geographics yourshot app. It what this app hoped to be.
I liked the comments and likes abilities from public of the past app version. This new Spaces feature kind of fragments the stories and comments. Unfortunately they messed up a good thing with new update. What needed to be changed was the vetting of spam users. Verification via facebook and phone number just like Whatsapp and other verification apps have done.
These are the things that keeps me coming back to this app. I can send photos to my family and they can see everything without downloading the app. If they do have the app, they can save my photos. So much easier then emailing! Also, I make collections of my own photos and delete them from my phone. Saves space!
All the top pro photographers once used this app and its greatest marketing faces pushed it organically. Sadly, it does not live up to the original and many are deleting the app because it no longer allows us to gain inspiration from other photographers and stories around the world.
This app has immediately become useless to me. I cant do half of what I could in the original version.
Being unable to view other peoples stories defeats the entire purpose of this app for me. What is the point of this app?
Used to be a dream to import photos, move them around where you want. Now it’s a chore and often doesn’t work. There’s no help on their website either.
I really wish this couldve worked out for everyone.
Ive only uploaded one story but I love looking through what people have created. This app is just wonderful and every time NOW ITS CHANGED I NEVER USE IT I WANT THE ORIGINAL BACK
I was hoping this would make possible accessing Google Photos on Apple TV but no help... Only Flickr
Im deeply saddened to see the demise of what once was one of my favorite apps. I loved discovering all the wonderful & creative people that were sharing their visual stories. The app is now basically useless. There are plenty of other apps to create, but Ive yet to find one like the original Storehouse that allowed us to both share & discover great stories. What happened?! I guess its time to say goodbye until the original version returns....
Still no discovery or public option brought back. I wonder how long it will take for Storehouse to reevaluate their shift. I will keep coming back here hoping to have a reason to change my review to five stars.
Most of the people here sum it up. Its used to be great and unique. Perhaps the best mobile photo platform out there. However, this is no longer the case.
This app was simple and easy to use, after several updates has become difficult to use.
Loved Storehouse - now I cant even use the app. Freezes on the profile and now I dont have access to any of the fabulous photos or stories that were accessible in the previous format. Goodbye Storehouse.
As a photographer, I love that there is no quality loss with photographs and videos inside the app or on the mobile web/desktop. I shoot lots of content that is highly personal or for clients so I love the privacy. I simply bring all my images/videos from Dropbox or my camera roll. Love seeing all stories on Apple TV app that syncs us fluently to view your own stories and stories youve saved in the app. Now having text on images will continue to sculpt how I made stories.
As a photographer (not professional or the best), its heartbreaking for me to learn that my most beloved photo app completely ruined itself, intentionally. Im not gonna write a novel here, but will say that with 2.0, this app rendered itself useless for me. I would give my business cards, which all have my Storehouse profile URL, to my family, friends, colleagues, even strangers, so that they could have a look at my galleries, stories, etc. But now all that is gone. According to the owner of the app, the new version of Storehouse is more "friendly" with non-professional photographers who are shy, insecure, unconfident, with low self-esteem, who think their photos are not good enough to be public. The walled garden of an app that it has become wont make non-professional photographers feel "intimidated" by professionals anymore according to the developer. Besides this weird and ridiculous mentality, which botched the app, the new Storehouse has also become bland and soulless by ditching all of its eye-catching animations. Animations were one of its charms. I have nothing more to say. Bye, Storehouse. :(
The new privacy model, where everything is private by default, is great for me.
I like the potential but theres no interaction... not to mention my app is stuck in edit profile! Its just ridiculous how nice and useless this app is they should put it down and put it out of its misery! #deadproduct
