Storehouse - Photo & Video Collages, Stories, Albums App Reviews

This app was amazing - I used to check it out almost everyday to find new stories - but ever since they "updated" all of the cool features out late last year, I havent really been back. Adding private features was really needed, but removing all public features entirely was about 30 steps too far. Pull it back a bit guys - let people have public profiles and bring back the curated feeds.

There is and hasnt been a single app developed to date like Storehouse. The app has NO EQUAL to it anywhere in the App Store. From its humble beginnings right up until today it really has been a must-have app. Beyond disappointed upon hearing about the shutdown in July. Nothing can replace it. There is nothing even remotely as great as this app

Can never trust these small devs with their small mindsets. I dedicated so much time and effort to this app pre-2.0 version. Now its a useless piece of junk. I mean, what was he thinking??!! This app will disappear into oblivion. And deservedly so, for robbing us users of our time and effort. Dev is an idiot for killing his own app. What an insecure person! Unbelievable!

Im deeply saddened to see the demise of what once was one of my favorite apps. I loved discovering all the wonderful & creative people that were sharing their visual stories. The app is now basically useless, having lost its social & interactive component. There are plenty of other apps to create, but Ive yet to find one like the original Storehouse that allowed us to both share & discover great stories. What happened?! I guess its time to say goodbye until the original version returns. Im very disappointed...

Why ruin what used to be an amazing app why

I am a somewhat advanced app user and found this tool to be cumbersome and not at all intuitive. You cannot change the position of your text on the photo so it ruins the story. I tried to crop several photos within the app to no avail. No help screen (or at least one that I could find). If you are looking for a import photos, write text in one size and font in the middle of the screen every time with no way to review your work then you got a winner. Otherwise, dont waste your time.

This is one of my favorite apps. They show stunning work from professionals as well as amateurs. It is also a great place to create your own work.

Sad to know this once glowing app is now shutting down. If you read all the comments from the user base youll see many foresaw this eventuality once they went from the social media based version 1.0 to the closed door version 2.0. Why they didnt listen to the user base I cannot fathom. Developers...a life lesson: once you have a hit app based on a solid concept, listen to your users!!! Such a crying shame to see this was all for nothing.

A beautiful app ends with a final beautiful gesture to allow published story downloads. They could have chosen to just abandon it but instead they spent the time to end it at a high note. Kudos and good luck.

Its sad that storehouse is hunting down. I pretty like it. BTW, if you want to collect more likes on Social Networks like Storehouse and Instagram. Use VUE video app.My secret tip : )

Storehouse was once a great place for discovery and storytelling. The initial concept was refreshing and the UI was well-executed. Definitely a bummer to see it shutting down. Not sure if this is due to lack of community engagement after the shift away from discovery — but thats certainly what caused me to stop using it.

Oh great I can make a story about my newborn and send it to my mother... Except its not said that its publishing publicly, no possible privacy, no manual, no option to delete a story, publishs only to their website. Also the front end of the app is not your storie but peoples. Website is vague, app page is vague. 2 views on my new born story before I freak out and had to delete every picture one by one, import a fake pic to replace the banner one. freaking out is not what I call a nice first experience. Sure I was able to do all that in second, except the deletion, far more difficult.

I love this App! Very easy to use, very easy to create and share articles/photos. Its so good it me want to go out and take more pictures. The community is great. I hope this app gonna get better with time but what the team achieved in one year is amazing. I also think some simple options are lacking like changing the width of text (like for images), put the background in black or even have few more font choices.

This is one of the greatest app available.

Where do I find stories from people I follow? Now I need to create a ”space” and invite people I actually don’t know to join? Who’s the genius who had this idea? And the app icon has a badge showing six notifications. I looked everywhere inside the app but could not find out what the notifications were for or how to mark them as read. The only way to get rid of the icon bade was to switch it off in settings. The new version is a huge step in the wrong direction.

I love this app, its beautiful, well made, everything looks good, but I wish there was a way to make some albums private. Steller just did that, you should do too. I have albums only on draft, because I dont want everyone to access. Thanks!
